If you are going to travel to British Columbia's Gulf Islands there are two basic travel options.  You can take a ferry to the Gulf Island or fly. There are many options for ferry sailings, including direct sailings, sailings with several stops and the “transfer” option from Tsawwassen to Swartz Bay and then onto a smaller Gulf Island ferry.  A summer ferry schedule (end of June to early September) features more sailings for this busy time of the year.

There are three float plane companies that fly to the Gulf Islands. You can fly from Vancouver, Seattle or Victoria to most of the Gulf Island.
