The thing about the Gulf islands are they are just so pristine that any development should be to the highest green standard. Low impact and small foot print should be the rule. Here is the article http://www.rmi.org/sitepages/pid221.php

I like the last paragraph it really sums it up. I am not anti development or pro development some things are just needed in the gulf islands like seniors housing. If you have lived here all your life why should you have to leave to find a level condo within walking distance to town. How about affordable housing it is needed but why not make it green and nice.
