Why do you need Scott Simmons as your Salt Spring Real Estate Agent when you buy here?

One reason is Salt Spring real estate is a total jumble of zoning, land use bylaws, ALR, DPA, the list goes on and on. In the six years I have been here I have been gathering all the knowledge I can about local issues like the new OCP that is coming out. Salt Spring is a quagmire of jurisdictions with federal to local authorities having jurisdiction and no one place for all information. There is no mayor or town council.

I have seen people buy here and not be aware of all the issues that can come up. That is my job to be informed and tell you the buyer everything I know or can find out.

With all the government department constantly changing the rules it is a never ending task of trying to stay on top of the bureaucratic intricacies.
