Salt Spring Island real estate tip "wear your dark sunglasses to view some homes". Like I have said before Salt Spring homes are not normal city homes. The rage in real estate is home staging. Has anyone not heard of it? Well apparently not many people selling their homes here have hear about it. I went on the agent tour today and there where a few really nice houses I liked but three of them where deplorable. I'm not talking about just a case of a little staging needed, I'm talking about basic cleaning.

Like I said wear your dark sunglasses and keep your shoes on. As you might know I'm not allowed to talk about any particular home for sale but as a generality you would just think that sellers would clean up.

I guess what I'm saying is that $500,000 range is still a lot of money and the homes should be clean and de-cluttered. It is hard to show a house and have someone think of it as their dream house when they keep tripping over the piles of junk.
