Salt Spring Island is moving into the 21 century. A mistake made in printing the Salt Spring Lions directory / phone book, one of the only private phone books in North America, will move us into the wired world.

The Lions Club of Salt Spring Island has been publishing a great local phone book for 27 years and this year there was a mix up. The businesses with the prefix 653 where listed as 538 prefixes. That has really hurt some local businesses so the Lions Club is going to make an insert for the book and put it on line.

The whole book, all the listings will be on line. That will make it easier for off island people to find a phone number. The on line edition will be available on the 4 of July 2007 at http://www.saltspringlionsdirectory.com
