Salt Spring Island real estate tip of the day "buy low sell high" Now this sounds so simple but is it. Salt Spring Island Real Estate should be looked at as long term investment. It is very difficult in this soft market to buy and flip. I would say that it would have to be an extraordinary deal to make a flip possible. Lots of people call me and ask are their any super deals and the answer is "if there where they are long gone". There are homes that are well price and have good long term potential. There are solid houses that can be bought at or below market price but you cant expect just to paint them and put the price up 50K and re sell. That train has left the station. The day of the flipper / speculator has turned.
It is time to buy quality and hold (use it or rent it). The long term prospects for Salt Spring Island real estate look good with the demographic shift sending boomers to the island on mass.
