Salt Spring Island NEWS FLASH I'm going off island...

I really never go off island unless wild horses are dragging me screaming. Today I'm going to Sydney with my friend Peter. We are going to walk on the ferry and then walk to canoe cove marina and pick up his boat and sail back. So the good news is I will only be off island for a few hours. Being on the water does not count as being off island. Right now it is 6:25 am and the sun is up and it is going to be a beautiful day.

Peter moved here from Calgary at about the same time as we did. His wife ran a day care which was about 100ft away from out house, his store was a mile from our house and we had never meet. I meet him on the Power Squadron course here. He always tells interesting stories so it should be a nice sail back to the rock.
